Sandia Project Image

Sandia National Laboratory, May 2025 - Aug 2025

At Sandia I participated in the DOE Summer Undergraduate Laboratory Experience (SULI) under my mentor Alec Talin working on developing a smart polymer composite tamper detector. The material studied was a PDMS polymer embedded with Ni microspheres. My work involved setting up experimental systems through python and arduino system controls, automating data collection while assuring reliable results and analyzing bulk data to show proof of concept for these polymers’ future application.

LLNL Project Image

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, May 2024 - Aug 2024

At Lawrence I participated in the DOE SULI under my mentor Leonardus Bimo Bayu Aji working on developing a deposition for a high entropy Au-Ta-W-Bi alloy for new generation hohlraums. My work involved depositing films using dc magnetron sputtering and analyzing film composition with SEM, LIBS, Confocal, XRD, XRF and other tools.

CPMI Project Image

Center for Plasma Material Interactions, Oct 2022 - Jan 2025

At CPMI I worked as an undergraduate research assistant assisting Zachary Jeckell with his research in HiPIMS magnetron sputtering. My main work involved designing and implementing a multi-threaded control system to integrate the deposition equipment into one user-controllable machine. Additionally, I used Python to analyze bulk IV data to pull defining plasma characteristics.
